\nof distorted electric guitar

\nof stars and forgotten
\nbackground radiation,
\npain that verges on ecstasy,
\na ringing of celestial strings
\nstruck with the well-worn pick
\nof disillusioned immortals;<\/p>\n
How a stranger’s
\nintangible yearning
\ncan translate through
\nthe ephemeral code
\nof electronic pulses
\nand magnetic fields,
\na fixed point enacted
\nin the so-called past
\nbecomes immediate
\npresent, time and space
\nerased in an instant
\ntransformed into a perfect
\nmoment of rebirth,
\na dagger in the mind
\npiercing to the core;
\nit leaves no trace
\nof bloody injury, only
\na shedding of unnecessary skin,
\na lowering of barriers
